Halton Miniature Railway
Starting from Mousetrap Hall Station next to the Ski Centre, and running for almost a mile through the park, the Halton Miniature Railway is one of the longest 71/4" gauge railways in the country. Trains run most Sunday afternoons from 1.30 - 4.30pm, hauled by a petrol or electric locomotive on a journey of nearly 1 mile taking 12 - 15 minutes. The fare is £1 per person. The Model Railway.
Ski Hire with a difference. Look above the counter when you visit the Ski Centre and you may see the model railway running above your head!! The trains are 45mm gauge, or G Scale, mostly LGB models. Look out for the different loads on the wagons!!
